Recycling Do’s and Dont’s
MAKE SURE ALL RECYCLING ITEM ARE CLEAN AND CLEAR FROM ANY WASTE OR CONTAMINATION
What can I recycle?
Fiber Material
Cardboard (boxes of all sizes MUST be broken down and placed inside the can)
Paper food containers
Recycle food boxes including: ice cream & milk containers, and cereal & pasta boxes
Other Paper Materials
Recycle envelopes, office paper, junk mail, telephone books, soft cover books, greeting cards, & file folders
Plastics
Recycle plastics #1 through #7. Look on the bottom of containers for a number inside the recycling arrows
Glass Material
Glass bottles and jars both clear & colored
What can’t I recycle?
No plastic bags
No plastic food wrappers or any items contaminated with food
No pizza boxes or styrofoam
No milk cartons
No greasy food containers
No wax or plastic coated food containers
No yard waste
No construction debris or scrap metal
No hazardous waste
No electronics, cables, or batteries
No diapers, tissues, or biohazardous waste
No light bulbs
No ceramics, dishes, or mirrors
No hoses, toys, clothes, shoes, tools, or holiday decorations
No styrofoam
If recycling is CONTAMINATED in any way, it will be considered trash and will be treated as such as the recycling facilities are not able to process contaminated items!
